The history of La Crosse will be presented through a series of visual aids. The various periods of development of the city will be examined from prehistoric times, through the lumbering and manufacturing periods, to the modern city which has become an educational, medical and economic service center. The various ethnic groups that came here and their contributions will be woven into this tapestry. Participants will develop a deeper sense of place and greater appreciation for the place in which they live, understand the development of La Crosse from prehistoric times to present, and show the importance of geography in the development of La Crosse.

Presenter: Richard Frost, retired School District of La Crosse history teacher and member of La Crosse County Historical Society. @import url(https://mastercalendar.uwlax.edu/CuteEditor/Load.ashx?type=style&file=SyntaxHighlighter.css);
